DAY 01: PUERTO MALDONADO / SANDOVAL LAKE / LODGE

Upon arrival from Cuzco or lima reception and transfer to the river port (captain port) one hour boat trip by motorized canoe take us to the monkey island where we will see many types of monkeys then w e head to the Sandoval oxbow lake ( tambopata national reserve depending on the arrival time of the plane we will have our box lunch aboard during our voyage we may see bird species of the river or forest edge then we get the Sandoval lake control for checking and start for one hour walk to get the lake shore where is the Mejia lodge. The lodge does not have private bathrooms but it is located into the reserve zone which is the difference with the other lodges .where we guaranty you will see more flora and fauna and be in touch with the nature. We will visit the Sandoval lake Where we take a long easy canoe around the lake where we will look for giant otters, black caimans, hoatzins, wading birds such as: herons, cormorants, kingfishers, etc. Then we can practice fishing piranhas, sardines, catfishes) etc. we can have a swim in the lake without any danger. Return to the lodge for dinner and after dinner we will visit again the amazing lake (padding) with our torches to see black caimans where the guide will show and explain you .We overnight in a comfortable lodge

DAY02: SANDOVAL LAKE / LODGE

After an early breakfast we are going to visit the Sandoval lake again to see the diversity of flora and fauna into de reserve we will explore it by Boat or Catamaran for large groups (Paddling) on this lake we can see different types of fishing birds, forest birds, prehistoric birds like the Hoatzin, vultures, it is possible to meet the king vulture or condor of the jungle, bats, etc. we will also see a big family of giants otters (Pteronura Brasilensis) Fishing for Piranhas. After that we will walk around the Sandoval Lake to see medicinal plants like medicinal plants exotic plants, huge trees, monkeys squirrels etc . Then we go to the Sandoval Mejia lodge for lunch and a rest. it is possible to take a bath on this lake without any danger .in the evening after dinner we can take a hike optional to see nocturnal animals , birds, insects ,etc. we overnight in comfortable Mejia lodge

DAY03: SANDOVAL LAKE / MONKEY ISLAND / TARICAYA PROJECT / LODGE

after an early breakfast we are going to visit the Monkey Island to see different kinds of monkeys like: Black Spider monkey, Squirrel monkey, Brown Capuchin, white fronted Capuchin, Tamarins, etc. then we head to the taricaya project. Here the naturalist guides explain us how the project Works to sustain the nature helping the endangered animals. We will see different types of plants as medicinal plants, exotic palms, huge trees then we start to climb the hanging bridge (canopy walk) and see the tower to get the best view. Then we set our campsite close to the parrot clay lick in the evening after dinner we will make our campfire where the guide will tell us the mystery jungle stories. We overnight in comfortable tent or in an optional lodge or hotel in Puerto Maldonado

DAY 04: PUERTO MALDONADO / AIRPORT / CUSCO OR LIMA

After breakfast transfer to Puerto Maldonado and from there to the airport to go back Cusco or Lima.
